      Feature Overview

Add AWS EC2 instances as a source for VM migrations to OpenShift Virtualization

      Goals

With the support for OpenShift Virtualization on AWS Baremetal, customers are looking for ways for an automated VM migration from AWS EC2 instances to OpenShift Virtualization running in AWS.

The benefits for the customer would be to optimize the cost and provide ability to overcommit on VM allocated resources, but still keep the advantages of running in the public cloud.

      Requirements

      Requirement Notes isMvp?
Provide a mechanism to cold migrate VMs from AWS EC2 to OpenShift Virtualization   Y
Provide a mechanism to warm migrate VMs from AWS EC2 to OpenShift Virtualization
Support existing migration features that track progress, creation of migration plans

      (Optional) Use Cases
