The CachingResourceManager has an invalidate(String path) method which will remove a single path from the cache, but there is no way to clear the entire cache in case of a new deployment or updates to the file system and you want to just wipe everything to start clean.  This method should be thread safe so calling it while under load doesn't cause any exceptions.
