We disabled bug syncing a while back, because it was taking ages to get the data out of search.ci. You can click the bug link and it'll take you directly to the search.ci bug search. Since we're moving to jira "soon", we didn't initially spend the effort to fix BZ.
https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SDCICD-682 tracks adding JIRA to ci search. Since the mechanism for syncing bugs vs. jiras will likely be the same, we should fix up fetchdata.sh in Sippy.
- Move bug syncing to it's own script, out of fetchdata.sh. There's no need to do this serially anymore, the DB can handle updating bugs as a separate task.
- Make Bugzilla code in Sippy support generic issue type
- Add link to open a new JIRA https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-create-issues-using-direct-html-links-in-jira-server-159474.html Needs to be able to prepopulate the format we need to have the linking take effect.
We need a design/plan for how to accomplish this in Sippy.
