Current behaviour

Documentation doesn't provide a migration path from traditional filesystem storage such as NFS to S3 bucket.

Expected behaviour

Documentation states whether this type of migration is supported or not and if it is supported the steps to achieve that (it's expected that the migration would be handled externally and so we could link to any appropriate documentation as an example)

Additional notes

Looks like AWS provides their own tool specifically for the scenario that has been reported "migrating filesystem data to an S3 bucket": https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/storage/migrating-storage-with-aws-datasync/
