    Description

      Components may have/need customization. Env vars / config map is one method. But I would look for a way to avoid the Operator having to know about all of those and having to avoid reconciling and blowing configs or customizations away. We should avoid the Operator team having to know about all of these and modify the operator every time any component adds such a var.
