Request Clarification on CPU and Memory Metrics

The "Access Control" Documentation on the following link:

States:

For measuring other, not hit-based usage of your API, you can define new Metrics and report the usage in different units. A unit can be anything meaningful: megabytes, CPU time, number of elements returned by the API etc.

Do we have an example on how to setup a metric not based on the amount of traffic to an Endpoint (Hits), e.g. Megabytes, CPU, etc. or is it a not supported feature?
