The current 3scale documentation Chapter 2. 3scale API Management operations and scaling describes how to scale horizontally or vertically the 3scale components, however it doesn't mention the relation between the pods or any suggestion on the values depending on the traffic (SKU). The sizing and 3scale tunning depends on multiple factors and every customer must test, monitor and configure 3scale according to each use case. However a basic information on how 3scale has been tested and configured according to the different SKUs would be helpful as a basis. Information about the tool that has been used for testing might be also worth sharing.
