Recent user feedback where Designer was used in a collaborative environment, it was clear that the consistent moving of diagram components was creating model edits that confused users on version changes, model differences etc.

To address these issues we proposed:

1) changed transformation diagrams to transient/non-persistent diagrams
2) create a model diagram lock feature and add the lock/unlock icon to the diagram toolbar.
