"No Web Service Profiles Configured" error in WSDL importer

Upon initial launch of the WSDL - Relational importer:

• Create a WebService Connection Profile via the New... button

When complete, the first page of the importer populates, but I get the message "No Web Service Profiles Configured" at the top of the dialog.
I can click "Next" to move to the next page, but message falsely indicates a problem.
