This is a usability issue. It would be nice if this got addressed after 2.0 GA.
I was analyzing a binary application[0]. The analysis failed and this message was logged:
Unable to find artifact.: Failure to find io.konveyor.demo:customers-tomcat:jar

I then updated the application and provided the right packaging info (war in this case). The analysis then completed successfully.
