When failures occur in the PR checks, sometimes it can be due to larger issues related to EE. To help differentiate if failures occur from changes in the PR code, or possibly from an environment problem, we should configure CI to to periodically run PR checks against he main branch for comparison.
Questions for grooming:
- When should should this run?
- Possibly nightly? - this is preferable
- What will control/initiate these runs? (Jenkins?)
- Scheduled - either Jenkins or Gitlab
- Is it worth using notifications to alert there might be a problem with EEs or the main branch?
- DEFINITELY, need to know of any issue asap so that we can make appropriate fixes
- Swatch-alerts channel?
Gitlab pipeline will be less maintainlable
