Investigate if there is a chance, swatch-contracts service could work with different permission sets for the Capacity API and for the Subscriptions API. If such a situation happened and the Capacity API returned a 2xx/5xx status code and the Subscriptions API returned 401/403, the GUI could exhibit unexpected behaviour, as shown in the attached Screen Recording 2026-01-29 at 13.54.48.mov from the local frontend with mocked API responses.

If this situation could indeed occur, the GUI needs to handle it gracefully.

      Workaround exists:

A full page refresh does reset the selected tab, but using the left nav menu to go from RHEL to Openshift and back does not.

      Acceptance Criteria:

      1. The likelihood of this situation occurring is determined
      2. If it is possible, consult the UX for better handling
      3. Create a follow implementation card if applicable.
