At the moment, we're using the IQE rhsm-subscriptions plugin to run both e2e tests and component tests. However, recently the IQE core team recommended to stop writing component tests here.

This spike is about to find alternatives to the component tests written in the IQE rhsm-subscriptions plugin.

Acceptance Criteria

• Functional tests for a service that is executable in the same repo as the service
• Tests should executable both locally and in ephemeral
• The test should have a functional pipeline that runs them in ephemeral environment
• There should be a document that covers:
  • The pipeline
  • The testing framework 
  • Executing the tests in:
    • pipeline
    • ephemeral  ( with and without wiremock )
    • locally ( with and without wiremock )
