Not having a read-clone for our database in AWS is causing us some problems.  It means that there is no way for us to perform database upgrades without taking an outage.  We need to upgrade to Graviton based instances and we need to upgrade major versions soon.  Additionally, with a read-clone we can offload some data-heavy operations to the clone.
