Hello all,
When filtering by "RHEL for x86 HA", there are no hypervisors entries
Environment:
https://console.redhat.com/subscriptions/usage/
SPECIFICS: - At
https://console.redhat.com/subscriptions/usage/rhel
:
Subscription Usage > RHEL > select "RHEL for x86 HA" in "variants" > "Current Instances" shows only Virtual machine but not virt-who machines(ESX host at VMware).
When Simple Content Access was disabled, Cu was able to see what kind of virt-who machine got attached the HA subscriptions.
It had very useful information because they purchased the below subscriptions depending on how many virt-who machines need these subscriptions.
1. High Availability for Unlimited Guests
2. High Availability for Unlimited Guests (Disaster Recovery)
- "CPU socket usage" says:
~~~~~~~~~~
Subscription threshold 124
Virtual 1619
~~~~~~~~~~
The Cu doesn't feel this figure is correct.
As long as virt-who machine (ESX host at VMware) attached "High Availability for Unlimited Guests*" subscriptions then virtual machine running on that virt-who machine is entitled.
Does "CPU socket usage" not apply this rule??
RESEARCH:
=========
- Confirmed if the Cu was using Satellite to entitle VM's and access HA repos. //USING SATELLITE
- Automatic Inventory Upload is enabled.
Friends, is that supposed to be presenting the hypervisors? once there is this concept of HA assigned to the hypervisors?
Note that virt-who is also pulling/pushing the information.
