Epic Goal
Support upstream feature "Control volume mode conversion between source and target PVC"" in OCP as Beta, i.e. test it and have docs for it.
Note: this is a very niche feature of CSI external-provisioner sidecar, useful only for specialized backup software vendors. IMO we don't need any user-facing documentation.
Why is this important?
- We get this upstream feature through Kubernetes rebase. We should ensure it works well in OCP and we have docs for it.

- KEP: https://github.com/kubernetes/enhancements/pull/3151
Acceptance Criteria
- CI - MUST be running successfully with tests automated
- Release Technical Enablement - Provide necessary release enablement details and documents.
- ...
Dependencies (internal and external)
- External: the feature is currently scheduled for GA in Kubernetes 1.26, i.e. OCP 4.13, but it may change before Kubernetes 1.26 GA.
