To establish a unified, maintainable, and efficient automation strategy within the Storage team by aligning on tools, practices, and test structure, and deprecating legacy or redundant cases.

 
Why is this important? (mandatory)

Automation within the Storage team has evolved over time with different practices, tools, and frameworks. This has led to inconsistency, duplicated efforts, and increased maintenance cost. A unified automation strategy will:

• Improve maintainability and scalability of automation code

• Reduce redundancy and technical debt

• Align the team on a common approach to automation

• Increase efficiency in test execution and development

• Enable faster onboarding and better collaboration within the team

Done - Checklist (mandatory)

• Automation standards and best practices are documented and shared

• Obsolete or low-value test cases (e.g., cucushift cases) are deprecated or migrated

• Tools and frameworks used by the team are reviewed and aligned

• Automation structure and ownership across the team are clarified

• Current automation coverage is audited and gaps are identified

• Team members are aware of and aligned with the new strategy
