Currently, customers who rely on external Kafka brokers - rather than brokers managed by OpenShift Serverless - lack a way to configure reliable CloudEvents communication between platform services. This limitation affects users who operate their own Kafka infrastructure and do not integrate directly with OpenShift Serverless Kafka management.

Proposed Solution:
Introduce a platform-level configuration option that allows administrators to specify an external Kafka broker for event communication. This will enable customers to leverage their existing Kafka infrastructure while ensuring the reliability of inter-service CloudEvents.

As part of this enhancement, we will also provide clear guidance and recommended practices in the form of documentation to help customers properly configure and validate their external Kafka integration.
