Figure out the ServiceMesh version/configuration we want to recommend

      The desire has been expressed to ship TP1 and recommending Service Mesh GA. However, their release date have slipped multiple times and we cannot release currently without them going GA.

      Through our QE testing we have found a couple of bugs in the version we’re testing with (TP12). One of those bugs effectively destroys the usability of sidecar injection and thus the main use-case of a service-mesh for our serverless use-cases.

      Our options at this point are:

      1. Wait for ServiceMesh GA and make sure all of our bugs are addressed there.
      2. Ship earlier than GA and recommend ServiceMesh TP12 with disabled sidecar injection (granted the other bugs are not considered blocking)

       

      Change potential (going from TP12 meshless to GA with a potential mesh):

      • Doc updates to the installation guide (install the correct version, remove caveats about the mesh)
