Summary:
Develop a scalable, high-performance UI automation framework using Python, Playwright, and Pytest. The architecture will mandate the Page Object Model (POM), integrate pytest-bdd for behavior-driven development, and ensure traceability via pytest-reportportal integration. This epic establishes the technical foundation necessary for accelerated and reliable UI test coverage
DOD:
- Framework directory structure is finalized, version-controlled, and adhering to industry best practices.
- A Single End-to-End Test Case is successfully authored, executed, and validated.
- The POM structure is proven by the integration of the initial test case.
- ReportPortal integration is fully configured, successfully receiving and displaying all test run data.
- Initial framework documentation (Setup, Execution Guide) is drafted and peer-reviewed.
Epic Goal
- Identify a UI testing framework
- Demo the test framework to the team with samples
- Write Libraries/Functions to enhance the test framework
- Cover scenarios from COnsole UI tests repo
