Epic Goal
Enable Openshift Lightspeed (OLS) to leverage OpenShift Pipelines knowledge through the Bring Your Own Knowledge (BYOK]) feature, enriching RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) capabilities with accurate, version-aware, and contextual responses.
Why is this important?
- Navigating OpenShift documentation for Pipelines is often cumbersome due to:
-
- Multiple documentation versions and URLs.
-
- Search engines frequently directing users to incorrect document versions or irrelevant sections.
-
- Fragmented knowledge across docs, KCS (Knowledgebase) articles, and runbooks.
With OpenShift Lightspeed (OLS), we can:
-
- Equip the cluster with documentation matching the correct OpenShift version.
-
- Use vector search within RAG to process entire documents, generating contextual answers and providing direct reference links to the relevant documentation.
-
- Consolidate official documentation, KCS articles, and custom content such as runbooks, alerts, and parameter definitions for comprehensive support.
In Scope
- Enable ingestion of OpenShift Pipelines documentation and related content into OLS BYOK.
- Use existing OLS repository scripts that:
-
- Download, chunk, and embed HTML content directly (avoiding conversion issues).
- Include into BYOK image
-
- Accurate parameter definitions.
-
- Insights into observability and metrics in Pipelines.
-
- Reference links back to canonical documentation sources
-
- Pipelines (KCS) articles
