    • This issue was caused due to changes in Pipelines operator 1.20 and OCP 4.19.15, there were flags added in both these applications, which caused a race condition while loading the operator, thus it disappeared intermittently

Here’s the revised and complete defect version with the Pipelines Operator version (1.20) included and the clarification that the issue likely stems from the OCP 4.19.15 upgrade, not the operator:

      Description of problem:
The Pipelines navigation intermittently appears and disappears in the OpenShift Web Console on the Sandbox environment. When attempting to create a Pipeline, the Pipeline Builder briefly renders and then the UX crashes, failing to re-render.

This issue began only after upgrading from OCP 4.19.0 to OCP 4.19.15 — it was working as expected prior to the upgrade. The Pipelines Operator is at version 1.20, which was unchanged during the upgrade. This strongly suggests that the issue is not caused by the Pipelines Operator, but rather a regression or console-related issue introduced with OCP 4.19.15.

      Workaround:
No known workaround at this time.

Prerequisites (if any, like setup, operators/versions):

      • OCP Version: 4.19.15 (upgraded from 4.19.0)
      • Pipelines Operator Version: 1.20
      • Environment: Sandbox
      • User permissions: Non-admin

      Steps to Reproduce:

      1. Log in to the Sandbox environment via the OpenShift Web Console.
      1. Install the operator
      2. Navigate to Pipelines in the left navigation panel.
      1. Observe that the Pipelines navigation intermittently appears and disappears.

      Actual results:

      • Pipelines navigation intermittently missing from the console.
      • Pipeline Builder view crashes upon pipeline creation attempt.
      • UX does not recover or re-render after the crash.

      Expected results:

      • Pipelines navigation should remain consistently visible in the console.
      • Pipeline Builder should render fully and remain stable during and after creation.
      • No UI crashes or rendering failures should occur.

      Reproducibility (Always/Intermittent/Only Once):
      Intermittent (after upgrade to 4.19.15).

      Acceptance criteria:

      • Pipelines navigation remains stable in the console.
      • Pipeline Builder works without crashing.
      • Regression verified as resolved between OCP 4.19.0 and 4.19.15.
      • Fix validated on Sandbox environment with Pipelines Operator 1.20.

      Definition of Done:

      • Verified fix deployed on Sandbox (OCP 4.19.15).
      • No console/UI rendering or navigation issues observed.
      • Pipelines Operator 1.20 confirmed functioning normally.
      • Documentation and demo activities successfully validated.

      Build Details:

      • OCP: 4.19.15 (issue started post-upgrade from 4.19.0)
      • Pipelines Operator: 1.20
      • Environment: Sandbox (HPBU internal)
