As a QE I don't want to invest into a framework that has no/little future.

Background (Required)

We chose gauge over ginkgo but it's not very active project anymore.

• https://github.com/getgauge/gauge/releases one release per month but it's basically just about dependency updates, no new features
• https://github.com/getgauge-contrib/gauge-go/releases Go binding is even worse - last update in 7/2023

Approach (Required)

Research alternatives to Gauge, for example but not limited to https://go.libhunt.com/ginkgo-alternatives

There is no immediate pressure to migrate to anything else but it would be good to at least know the options and how much effort it would require.
