Approach (Required)
- Steps to obtain this data from JIRA:
- Browse your project in Jira and create and save a query that displays all 'Bugs' for your product.
- Create a Dashboard for a specific product
- Click the button on the top-right 'Add Widget'
- Search all widgets and add the one named 'Rich Filter Created vs. Resolved Chart'
- Once it's added, click the three dots on the top-right corner of the added widget and select edit from the drop-down menu
- Title: Give a title to your widget
- Rich Filter: Browse and select the query you created in Step 1
- Working query: Leave blank
- Display: Custom Start vs. Finish
- Start date: Created
- Finish date: Resolved
- Aggregation periods: Months
- Time range: Number of periods
- Number of periods: 6 or 9 (larger the better)
- Display type: Period value
- Unresolved trend: Leave it unchecked
- Values: Issue count
- SAVE the query. You should be able to see the data on the widget now
- On the bottom left corner of the widget, click on the download button that says 'Export to PDF'. This PDF will give you all the data that you need for analysis
