I dug into this issue in Slack. The issue appears to be that the Gitlab is intermittently creating a separate Pipeline when PaC updates the Commit Status. The first Gitlab Pipeline will not include the Konflux external jobs and it will pass, so the Merge Request's UI show CI as "passed" (pictured below). However if you navigate to the[ Merge Request Pipelines tab|https://gitlab.com/redhat/hummingbird/rpms/-/merge_requests/185/pipelines] (pictured) or to the commit itself (pictured) the second pipeline and its "failed" status is visible
