User Story
As an OpenShift administrator, I want to install OpenShift clusters using UPI (User-Provisioned Infrastructure) on VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 so that I can maintain control over my infrastructure provisioning while using the latest VMware platform.
Description
Validate and document UPI installation process for VCF 9.0, ensuring customers can successfully deploy using existing infrastructure provisioning workflows.
Acceptance Criteria
UPI Installation Process
- [ ] UPI installation completes successfully on VCF 9.0
- [ ] Bootstrap process works with user-provisioned VMs on VCF 9.0
- [ ] Control plane nodes join cluster correctly
- [ ] Worker nodes can be added using existing UPI procedures
- [ ] Network connectivity between nodes functions properly
Infrastructure Validation
- [ ] VM templates work correctly on VCF 9.0
- [ ] Ignition configuration applies properly to VCF 9.0 VMs
- [ ] DNS and load balancer integration functions as expected
- [ ] Storage configuration works with user-provisioned setup
- [ ] Network policies and firewall rules apply correctly
Documentation Updates
- [ ] UPI installation guide updated for VCF 9.0 specifics
