As a SPLAT engineer I want to add more test scenarios on 'edge' nodes / workers running in AWS Local Zones. Based on the feedback of Phases 0 and I, there are a few scenarios that would be interesting to run in CI jobs:
- validate the simple deployment (make sure the image uses the internal registry)
- install ALB and expose the app, {}when it's available{}
- measure the latency from app on LZ and in the Region over the internet
- measure the network performance between LZ-Worker, LZ-Master and WK-Masters
- check if ec2 selected by installer is offered in the zone*
- check if labels added to the machineset are correct
CI jobs expansion:
- increase the existing tests to more regions with support of Local Zones
- Move the CI presubmits to a default CI account for AWS (currently is using VMC)
Standalone test to collect insigiths and improve LZ MTU:
- Increase the MTU of regular cluster to understand how we can increase the performance from the existing scenario, then request infrastructure changes to AWS
