Description of problem:
OVN-Kubernetes secondary networks present packet loss during live migrations.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
4.16
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure a localnet NAD according to the documentation example: https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/openshift_container_platform/4.17/html/virtualization/networking#virt-creating-localnet-nad-cli_virt-connecting-vm-to-ovn-secondary-network 2. Create a VM and connect it to the NAD 3. From another device that has access to the VM just created, start a ping to the IP address of the VM (the one configured for the interface connected to the NAD) 4. In OpenShift, live migrate the VM
Actual results:
Some ping packets will be lost during live migration
Expected results:
No ping packet should be lost, at least if the worker nodes running the VMs aren't too busy
Additional info:
Originally this was opened as a documentation bug, but as per Miguel's clarification, this isn't a documentation issue but a characteristic of OVN-K secondary networks.
