Investigate and identify a suitable alternative to Swagger for API documentation and specification in the Podman project. Swagger has limitations and we need to evaluate modern alternatives that better fit our needs.

This spike involves:

• Identifying what we do need from an API documentation tool and why Swagger no longer satisfies the requirements
• Researching available alternatives to Swagger for API documentation
• Evaluating the pros and cons of each alternative
• Assessing compatibility with the Podman project
• Creating a design document with recommendations
