This EPIC tracks miscellaneous stories required for Podman 6, the next major version targeting Spring 2026 with Fedora 44.

This EPIC covers general Podman 6 work including deprecations and changes in defaults. It excludes work that will be tracked in separate EPICs for:

• Podman Machine improvements
• Podman Update functionality
• Conmon v3 integration
• Configuration file changes

Key areas covered by this EPIC include:

• Deprecation of legacy technologies (Slirp4netns, CNI plugins, CGroups V1, BoltDB)
• Removal of support for Windows 10 and Intel-based Mac
• Default behavior changes and other general improvements
• Miscellaneous features and enhancements not covered by other dedicated EPICs

Individual stories will be created under this EPIC to track specific deprecations, default changes, and other general improvements needed for the Podman 6 release.
