Summary: As a project lead, I want to onboard more maintainers and reviewers from outside of Red Hat, so that we can establish a diverse, vendor-neutral governance model.
Description: To meet CNCF Incubation requirements, the projects must demonstrate a healthy, multi-vendor ecosystem. Currently, there is only one non-Red Hat reviewer and no non-Red Hat maintainers. This user story outlines an initiative to actively seek out, mentor, and promote new maintainers and reviewers from the community to improve the project's governance and sustainability.
Acceptance Criteria:
A clear, publicly available "CONTRIBUTING.md" or similar guide has been created that outlines the path to becoming a reviewer and maintainer.
The project team has identified at least three potential non-Red Hat candidates for reviewer or maintainer roles.
A mentoring program has been established to support these candidates in their journey.
At least one new non-Red Hat contributor has been officially promoted to a reviewer or maintainer role.
