We can't pull the quay.io/devfile/universal-developer-image:ubi8-latest image (devspaces/udi-rhel8 in Red Hat's container catalog) as a rootless user because it uses ownership IDs far above 65536, it appears unnecessarily.

We can't use podman to rebuild it from its source at https://github.com/devfile/developer-images because a subtle incompatibility in how we parse heredocs causes the build to fail. I expect we'll need to be able to do so successfully in the near future.
