Rox Sprint 4.11B
Slack: https://redhat-internal.slack.com/archives/C08CM7QDETH/p1770834526562499
Description
The version compatibility tests for the ACS Sensor Ecosystem are currently failing to validate cross-version interoperability. Instead of testing the current Central/Sensor against previous supported versions, the CI is only testing the Current Central against Sensor 3.74.9.
Furthermore, the get_compatibility_test_tuples.py script reports that it cannot find any older versions via the product lifecycles API, effectively turning these tests into a "no-op" for compatibility.
Expected Behavior
The compatibility suite should automatically identify and test the following combinations based on the current support lifecycle:
Current Central vs. Older released Sensors (still in-support).
Current Sensor vs. Older released Centrals (still in-support).
Notes
Version 3.74: Per the latest support exception agreement, we no longer need to test against 3.74.
EUS Support: Be aware of upcoming changes to version selection logic as we introduce the EUS (Extended Update Support) model starting with version 5.2.
