      Fixed an issue where Sensor would send VM data even though the feature flag `ROX_VIRTUAL_MACHINES` was not enabled, leading to issues tracked with ROX-31554

      Note that customers testing the dev-preview feature "Vulnerability management for Virtual Machines" must use both: Sensor and Central in version at least 4.9.0.

      USER PROBLEM
      What is the user experiencing as a result of the bug? Include steps to reproduce.

      • On clusters with Openshift Virtualisation and at least one VirtualMachine custom resource, Sensor would partially ignore the ROX_VIRTUAL_MACHINES feature flag and send messages to Central. If Central is affected by ROX–31553, that would lead to panic.

      What conditions need to exist for a user to be affected? Is it everyone? Is it only those with a specific integration? Is it specific to someone with particular database content? etc.
