In order to ease the investigation of customer issues that might be related to Sensor, it would be good to have sets of metrics to monitor whether Sensor is behaving healthily and correctly.
It would be good as well to store these metrics outside of the sensor component itself so that investigation works would be less impacted by sensor restarts (or could help investigating them).
