Source/Target of data assignments shows malformed data when specific generics are used

Summary
When you add following generics as process variables:

and then navigate to data assignment of a task, the Source/Target drop downs
show malformed/invalid options:

Value V> is not supposed to be there.
Value java.util.List<String>> is not supposed ot be there.

I do not notice any functionality loss, but marking as critical
due to its nature.
