As an engineering manager of a set of scrum teams that need to monitor results of Zuul jobs regularly, I would like to be able to get trends on success or failure rates of the jobs I am interested in over time. How fragile is X job? Have the changes we made increased the job success percentage over the past D days as opposed to the previous D days? These kinds of analytics would make it easier for me to intelligently target, prioritize, and monitor CI improvements over time. This would not be a tool to root cause failures, only to trend failure rates over time.
The fields I would like to see are substantially identical to the ones available on the Builds screen in Zuul: https://sf.apps.int.gpc.ocp-hub.prod.psi.redhat.com/zuul/t/components-integration/builds
- Job
- Project
- Branch
- Pipeline
- Change
- Duration
- Start time
- Result
When I go to the Builds page I typically search for "*theta*" to grab the jobs I care about. Some way to sort through the large number of job names that are available would be nice... but not necessarily required.
The goal is to end up with a single pane of glass that I can evaluate to look at the jobs corresponding to my teams' interest.
