Summary:

This is tech-debt for an existing customer used supported feature. We need to complete docs and add tests to existing job to improve our test coverage and supportability. Because this has a customer facing doc change with new content, we use the feature Jira type

Existing Feature Info:

The RHOSO Block Storage service supports the Generic Volume Group APIs since the previous Consistency Group APIs have been deprecated since the Queens release.

These generic volume group APIs provides coverage for both generic (non-consistent) and consistency Block Storage volume groups.

Documentation Considerations:

When documenting these commands, it may make sense to group all the consistency volume group commands together under the Consistency volume groups heading, since this is what the OSP 17.1 users are familiar with already and then to group the non-consistent group functionality under another heading, perhaps Generic volume groups or Non-consistent volume groups for cinder.

Product/CI considerations:

No impact as tempest tests will be added to existing component and/or integration jobs

Delivery and Definition of Done:

We believe we can deliver this when ready in 18.0z and does not need to be tied to an FR.  As soon as test coverage is added and doc updates can be release, we can close this.
