Feature Request Overview
Watcher's action plan contains a set of operations to optimize the cloud, towards a user's selected Goal. If the execution of the Action Plan fails, some tasks may not complete and the user could choose to rollback all or a subset of them. Today, Watcher doesn't provide a working solution for reverting a failed action plan, and current implementation doesn't work and is very unlikely to be fixed (see OSPRH-19735).{}
Business justification (mandatory - Complete while in New status)
A action plan rollback mechanism would allow users to partially revert actions that failed, in order to trigger new audits or action plans.
Functional requirements (mandatory - Complete while in New status)
- User should be able to create a new action plan that reverts all or a set of actions from any other action plan (failed or not)
- User could choose which Action is going to be reverted or skipped.
- Watcher could validate if the revert is valid from Cluster Model point of view.
