The customers want to have LoadBalancer metrics aggregated in the Observability solution. Each LoadBalancer expose its own metrics that can be scraped by Prometheus, but as the LBs are deployed in OpenStack internal networks, Prometheus cannot access them to scrape.

How would this feature benefit the customer?

The users would be able to see the LB metrics, which is quite critical while trying to see how the cloud is behaving. Also, having LB metrics would allow customers to charge their tenants per LB call.

• There should be a way for Pods to request joining OpenStack networks so they can access the resources in those.
• Leveraging the existing NAD functionality would be great
