The hero image on the homepage is about 80k and if you watch closely while reloading, it starts small and then pops into size. Hard refresh helps to notice this, as does disabling cache. Simulating a slow network and/or slow cpu can help too.

It would be very nice if the hero appeared in-place quickly and without any resizing jank.
