Launching Jupyter using Enabled Applications vs using Data Science Project

Currently, in RHODS there are two ways to launch Jupyter notebooks:

      • Using the Jupyter card in Enabled Applications
      • Using Workbenches in Data Science Projects

The first method quick and simple, but you can only launch one notebook at the same time. The second one has more steps, but you can run multiple notebooks at the same time and workbench settings are stored so you can use them days after.

I think having 6.1. Launching Jupyter and starting a notebook server in Chapter 6. Creating a project workbench is a little bit confusing. Maybe it could be in a dedicated chapter, explaining how to launch quickly a notebook without creating a Data Science Project
