Restoring a user and their data is a very difficult process. Even if possible, it is so painful, no one would want to do it.

Restore process is undocumented, but it should be solved by software, not documentation.

      Possible ideas:

      • Set nightly backups by default and if too costly, allow the administrator to disable them.
      • - Allow backups ad hoc. - One snapshot a week/day across all users in case you need them.
      • - Ability to do more granular restore of a snapshot.
      • - Ability to “revert” to previously saved snapshot version/time.
      • - Allow data for PVCs to be added (restored from a backup or imported from an external source).
      • - Automated restore for large groups of users (in case you need to restore an entire cluster).
