Severity field has been recently made visible in RHODS Jira. It measures the impact that a defect would cause to a customer. Severity is NOT to be confused with the field Priority.

Please find here the definition and the meaning of different values that Severity field can be set to - https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/severity.

Objective is to update this field for all new defects that get filed, and also go back in time and update the field for all existing !closed bugs.
