A JupyterHub user can be logged in for a maximum of 24 hours. After 24 hours, user credentials expire, the user is logged out of JupyterHub, and their notebook server pod is stopped and deleted regardless of any work running in the notebook server. There is currently no workaround for this issue.

      Description of problem:

I expect my notebooks  to run uninterrupted for multiple days.
They don't seem to ever last more than 24 hours.

Prerequisites (if any, like setup, operators/versions):

      RHODS 1.1.1 - Build 42 and Build 57 - any image.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Start a notebook
      2. Disconnect (close the tab)
      3. check in the rhods-notebook namespace that the pod is still running.
      4. wait 24 hours. check again.

      Actual results:

The notebook is no longer running.

      Expected results:

      The notebook is still running.

      Reproducibility (Always/Intermittent/Only Once):

      Always

      Build Details:

All RHODS 1.1.1 builds. including build 57.

      Workaround:

Having to restart your notebook (not a real workaround).
