    • Model Serving Sprint 2.8
    • Testable

Enable seamless migration for existing KServe installations without an authorization layer yet to continue operations without integrating the authz component. This approach keeps models unsecured, as in previous versions, unless the authorization module is explicitly opted into. This strategy particularly benefits users during upgrades, allowing continued operation without immediately enforcing new authorization capabilities.

The absence of the Authorino Operator should not interrupt the reconciliation process or prompt an error regarding this missing prerequisite, nor should it force the user to install it.

This soft opt-in approach is needed as there is no consensus on the automated installation of this dependent operator on behalf of the user.
