The host display name changed using '# insights-client --display-name' command is reverted back to its original name

      Description of Problem

       

      After using  the # insights-client --display-name command to change the display name of the host registered with Insights, the change reflects in the Console. However, after 24 hours, the display name automatically reverts to its original name.

      How reproducible

      Always

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Register a host (say 'client.example.com') to Red Hat Insights
      2. Run following command on the host :

      insights-client --register --display-name modified_client.example.com

      1. The changed name - modified_client.example.com is reflected in Console for the host

      Actual Behavior

      After 24 hours, the display name is reverted back to its Original name in Console

      Expected Behavior

      The Display name should not get reverted

      Business Impact / Additional info

      Its not possible to use the "insights-client --register --display-name" command and the users are unable to change the Display Name of the hosts
