EPIC Goal
Implement a standalone solution for mirroring dynamic plugin OCI artifacts into airgapped RHDH deployments. The solution should be installation-method agnostic, working for both OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
Background/Feature Origin
Previously, plugin catalog index support was going to be added to prepare-restricted-environment.sh. However, as a team, we decided that OCI artifact mirroring should be handled by a separate and dedicated script that is decoupled from the operator installation process. This allows for a cleaner separation.
Dependencies (internal and external)
- RHIDP-8210: Publishing a plugin catalog with an index of plugins and their OCI references
Acceptance Criteria
- create a standalone script for mirroring dynamic plugin OCI artifacts
- support multiple plugin source modes (catalog index, file list, direct URLs)
- work seamlessly with both operator and helm deployments and support both OCP and K8s deployments
- support both partially and fully disconnected environments
