Feature Overview (aka. Goal Summary)

Users often find catalog data useful not only within the application but also in external tools or for sharing with third parties. While building a full plugin or integration may not always be necessary, quick and flexible data export empowers users to handle reporting, analysis, and communication more efficiently.

Goals (aka. expected user outcomes)

• Users will be able to export catalog data to either CSV or JSON files.
• Users will have the flexibility to export either the entire set of data that matches their current filters or just the specific subset of data they are currently viewing on the page.

Requirements (aka. Acceptance Criteria):

• Scope of Export:
  • All data that currently passes the active filters.
  • Only the data that is currently visible within the paginated view.

• Export Formats: CSV and JSON

Out of Scope (Optional)

• Automated or scheduled data exports.

• Support for export formats beyond CSV and JSON.

Documentation Considerations

Looks like we currently don't have documentation specific to the catalog in our product docs so this feature would most likely just need to be mentioned in a release note.
