EPIC Goal
An integration support for the GitLab plugin into the Bulk Import plugin
Background/Feature Origin
Today, the Bulk Import plugin is able to retrieve potential GitHub repositories for ingestion into the software catalog. The epic highlights the requirements for implementing the same integration but for GitLab as well.
Why is this important?
GitLab is another location where potential repositories could live. Having this support will allow those users the ability to ensure that they are able to add them to their RHDH instance.
User Scenarios
- As a platform engineers, I want to be able to configure the bulk import plugin to a GitLab server.
- As a developer, I want to be able to select repos from GitLab and import them to RHDH
Dependencies (internal and external)
There was an original mention by the security team that GitLab integration might not be officially supported by RHDH at this moment. We will likely need to reach out to them about this again.
